Secretariat Meeting 5/18/2018

Minutes, additions/corrections and approval – Emailed out. Jean Hershey motioned to approve Minutes, Chrystle Fuentes 2nded the motion and all members present approved.  

Treasurer’s Report – Bob Steckley presented Treasurers report.  Total deposits of $2773.50.  $1250.00 team fee, $500.00 candidate fee, $750.00 contributions, $ 36.50 international representative, $135.00 T-shirt sales and $102.00 victory sequela. Payed out $26.50 Maria Ferrara for supplies, $46.94 Teresa Waynetska for Meds, $517.00 for Insurance, $25.00 for  Use of church $14.80 for Pay Pal fees, $4080.00 for Men’s camp and $5864.00 Women’s camp. With all this our ending balance is $2277.10. Judy Barns motioned to accept, 2nded by Jean Hershey and all members present approved.
Brought to Motion by Chrystle Fuentes that Treasure Valley Tres Dias pay $250.00 for Steve and Donna Buckley’s (spiritual directors) Travel expenses for the women’s 2018 weekend. 2nd by Angela Meyer and all present approved.

Old Business.  

1. Nomination for Communication, Women’s leader and Treasure:  Arden Stineker for treasure, Mark Hershey for communication and Sarah Odoms for women’s leader.  New Business  
2. Dana’s guitar: Our insurance may or may not pay. Dana is checking with her insurance. So this matter is tabled tell next month. Will pick it back up when we have more information.

New Business:

1. International votes: Voted on budget of $42,000 for the 2019- Passed. Tier structure staying the same-approved. Approved change of service committee name. Three year secretariat terms for international. Voted for Dennis Farkas for President and Baeu Bruce for VIP Membership. Rosa Di Gennaro financial secretary and Chuck Allen executive VP. Voted for  8 on members committee; Cathy Allen, Gordon Arent, Sue Arent, Greg Aycock, Julie Bohl, Valerie Mehl, Sarah Odoms and Bill Shoemaker.
2. Camp fee increase:  Tabled this tells more information about maybe changing camp location. If location is not changed increase will have to happen.
3. Policy Update: Lots of discussion on the topic of ordinated minister is and we need a good policy on this topic. This was tabled tell next month.
4. Question for weekend survey:  No more than 10 questions. Topics on food, communication, fee increase, act. Jean Hershey will send a sample for Secretariat to members to ok, before she puts it out for the community ,

 
Round Table Discussion:
 Next year weekend dates: Men’s- April 24-28. Women’s- May 1-5 2019. This could change.
