SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR FOR THE SECRETARIAT

1. The Spiritual Director can be an ordained or non-ordained Christian clergy.   He/she must have previously or be currently pastoring an active congregation under the auspices of his/her denomination, and be able to serve communion.
2. He/she will prayerfully oversee the spiritual integrity of the Secretariat, insuring that TVTD is always acting in obedience to God’s word.
3. He/she will work as the primary spiritual advisor and source of counsel to the Secretariat.
4. He/she must attend monthly Secretariats and deliver a short devotional.  If he/she is unable to attend, it is his/her responsibility to arrange for someone to fill in for him/her.
5. He/she must attend Secuelas and deliver the devotional as well as communion.  If unable to attend, it is his/her responsibility to arrange for someone to fill in for him/her.
6. He/she will be available to step in for the Head Spiritual Director for the Weekend in their inability to attend.
7. Participate in overall guidance and planning of TVTD activities.

2. Demonstrate a record of support for the Tres Dias movement, i,e, attending Secuelas, participation in Forth Day group, attending weekend Closings, etc.
3. Have serves on at least two (2) teams, preferably in different positions.
4. Possess the skills required by the Secretariat position duties and responsibilities.
5. The Secretariat should be fairly represented by:

FOURTH DAY

1. With the help of the Secretariat, schedule Secuelas on a regular basis.
2. Work with the Secretary to make sure the Fourth Day box is stocked with appropriate information for the resource table at Secuelas.
3. Provides a Resource table at Sequelas.
4. Recruit Secuela hosts and provide them with supplies and Secuela outline.
5. Recruits a Pescador to provide the Fourth Day message.
6. Introduce the Fourth Day Speaker at Sequela.
7. Make sure materials are available for Palanca Teams on Week-ends. 
8. Make sure the supply box containing paper plates, cups, napkins, etc. needed for Sequela is available for each Sequela. 
9. Make the Songbooks available for Sequela.
10. Participate in overall guidance and planning of the TVTD activities.

TREASURER

1. Maintains up-to-date record of all Tres Dias finances.
2. Maintains accounts receivable and accounts payable.
3. Signs checks and deposits funds as authorized by the Secretariat.
4. Receives and deposits Tres Dias funds in a timely manner.
5. Distributes monthly financial statements to all members of the Secretariat.
6. Submits financial records for review by the Secretariat or their designee for audit or for external auditor review by the Secretariat.
7. Provides reimbursement forms and tax-exempt number to those making Tres Dias related purchases.
8. Provides annual report to preparer of tax filing.
9. Participates in the overall guidance and planning of TVTD activities.

SECRETARY

1. Maintains an up-to-date record of minutes of all meetings of the Secretariat, which includes a list of each member present and absent.
2. Distributes copies of minutes to each member of the Secretariat.
3. Logs and maintains records of all amendments made to the By-Laws and Policies and Procedures and provides Data Management with all approved changes.  Each time the By-Laws or Policies and Procedures are amended, the Secretary keeps the newly amended and dated documents and distributes them to the Secretariat and to the Communications Person for publication.
4. Presides at the Secretariat meetings in the absence of the President and the Vice President.
5. Keeps historical records for the community, including weekend specific pictures and other pertinent information.
6. Maintains a comprehensive and up-to-date record of each Pescador’s service experience in Tres Dias, Cursillo, Pathways and Walk to Emmaus as well as service on the Secretariat.
7. Participates in overall guidance and planning of the TVTD activities.

VICE PRESIDENT

1. Fulfills President’s duties in the event of the President’s absence.
2. Develops short and long-range plans for the expansion and growth of the community.
3. Presides at the Secretariat meetings if President is absent.
4. ​Participates in overall guidance and planning of the TVTD activities.

PRESIDENT

1. Maintains responsibility for overall guidance and direction of TVTD.
2. Acts as a lay representative of TVTD in meetings with clergy from participating and potentially active churches or from other movements.
3. Acts as a liaison with Tres Dias International.
4. Develops short and long range plans for expansion and growth of the community.
5. Assists in the development of effective policies and practices.
6. Presides at Secretariat meetings.
7. Signs checks as the alternate signer.
8. Acts in conjunction with the Rector/Rectora as liaison with the campgrounds to handle relationships and reservations for future weekend dates.
9. Appoints committee chairpersons as the need for the committee is established.

MEN’S LEADER

1. Utilizes a comprehensive and up-to-date record of each Pescador’s service experience in Tres Dias, Cursillo, and Walk to Emmaus as well as service on the Secretariat.  The Secretary provides this information.
2. Obtains from the Secretariat a list of those who are Rector/Rectora qualified.
3. Reviews list of Rector’s/Rectora’s with Rector/Rectora as written in the Policies and Procedures.
4. Assist upcoming Rectors/Rectoras in team selection and formation.
5. Provides Rectors/Rectoras with work history and qualifications of potential team members according to the guidelines in the Policies and Procedures
6. Works with Rectors/Rectoras to advance Pescadores to serve in various team positions to become Rector/Rectora qualified.
7. Conducts a follow-up meeting within two (2) weeks after the weekend with the Rector/Rectora, upcoming Rector/Rectora, Head Cha, and other appropriate Heads to identify and document problems, solutions, and miracles.  The purpose of the meeting is to review the Weekend experiences so that we can encourage those actions which were supportive of “The Essentials of Tres Dias”.  Team members should review the Weekend in realistic, objective terms, carefully regarding the dignity of the Rector/Rectora.  This data will be compiled into a written report and conveyed to the local Secretariat.  The information may be gathered either in the form of a written narrative or a questionnaire, but should always be done using the “Essentials of Tres Dias” as a guide.
8. Participates in the overall guidance and planning of TVTD activities.

Reunion groups are small group of friends who meet regularly to encourage each another to continue their Christian growth by sharing their experiences as men and women of God.
Staying connected to fellow men and women serving God is essential for continued spiritual growth. Experience tells us the joy we encounter on the weekend will eventually fade without periodic maintenance.
The weekend is not meant to pull anyone away from their congregation. In fact, the opposite is true. Tres Dias weekends are meant to better equip Candidates to serve their church community. And after a weekend that likely enhances one’s personal relationship with God it is helpful to maintain connections with others of similar experience.
Reunion Group vs Bible Study
Small group accountability is critical to our Christian walk.  In Tres Dias we refer to these small groups as “reunion Groups” and feel that they are the best way to navigate your fourth day.

• The main goal of a reunion group is to develop transparency, accountability, and trust.  This is accomplished by sharing each other’s lives, celebrating each other’s accomplishments, supporting each other in our failures, being a loving resource, and learning to lean on each other in our Christian walk.  Much of this is done as we share the more intimate aspects of our piety, study and action in a small group setting
• Most Bible studies involve people getting together to learn the meaning and application of scripture, with conversations of a more general, less intimate nature.
• IF your Bible study includes the main aspects of a reunion group as noted above (transparency, accountability, and trust) then it may very well be a reunion group.  Consider these questions:
  • Do you feel comfortable enough with the others in the Bible study to call on them for prayer or for assistance in helping you deal with problems you’re facing?
  • Is there a time during the Bible study that you and the others can genuinely share your piety, study, and action.
  • Do you know the people in the Bible study well enough to be transparent and accountable to them?
  • If the answer to the above is Yes, then your Bible study may very well qualify as a reunion group.
