e7 - 12/01/2022 Greetings Treasure Valley Tres Dias Family! Here we are in December, the final month of 2022 and a new year right around the corner. But first we observe what is most people's favorite holiday, Christmas. Christmas is a primarily Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. Many will attend church, have family parties and exchange gifts. Want some ideas of how to share the love of Christ as you gather and prepare for your activities. Ways to show God's love with actions:
These are just a few simple suggestions and ideas. We are sure you have many ways to share God's love with your family and friends. We hope you have a blessed and loving Holiday Season! In the last few months you have heard talk of fundraisers and donations for Scholarships, but just what is that all about you may ask? Here is some explanation:
Don't let the cost deter sponsoring a Candidate. Seek help by asking! Bring the need for help to your Weekend Leaders: Angie Meyer and Adele Crownover or any Secretariat member and we will discuss what your needs are and what is available to help get your Candidates to the Weekend! The Story Behind the CrossYou've seen it everywhere when you look at Tres Dias articles, websites, even at our Weekends. The Stained Glass Cross of Tres Dias. There is a history and symbolic meaning surrounding it. Note that the Cross has 15 pieces of stained glass, one for each of the 15 rollos that are contained in a Tres Dias Weekend. The 15 pieces fit together to form this symbol of God's Love just as each rollo fits together in sequence to communicate that love throughout the weekend. This Cross was made and given as a gift to a Rector on a North Georgia Tres Dias Weekend many years ago and since has been used as a symbol for Tres Dias throughout the many communities and in many different ways. You will see it on websites, coffee mugs, t-shirts, in our beautiful Treasure Valley Tres Dias banner lovingly created by Trina Leininger, and many other places. Its fun to know that it was created especially for Tres Dias, and has such a significant meaning to our Communities!
