Team Meeting #1, What's it all about?                                             COME AND SEE!!

October 17th, Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm we are having our very first Team Meeting for the 2027 Men's and Women's #16 Weekends! 

​Questions you may have:
Do I have to be signed up? No, sign-up  can happen while at the team meeting.

What if I'm not sure I can work? That's not a problem! Come anyway, be a part of the planning and support the team. We have many people at home during the weekends supporting the team in prayer. A most important team position really!

Coming together for Team Meetings is one of the most important factors to building a successful and God led weekend.

By attending Team Meetings you are

• helping to build the weekend,
• getting to know and support your leaders and team members
• finding out what will be happening on the weekend, what to expect, and just what your role will be.

Each team member is responsible for helping to build a cohesive team.

Each team member should:

• Pray without ceasing for the candidates, team, their families and the community;
• Attend all team meetings;
• Prepare for and know your team duties;
• Contribute to the sharing times;
• Make an effort to meet and know all team members;
• Participate with love in all liturgies, worship and praise sessions;
• Become familiar with the outline for each rollo;
• Enter into the rollo critique process with love and caring for your teammate and for what may affect/impact the candidates;
• Believe that the rector was chosen and anointed by God to be the human leader for the weekend; and,
• Believe that God will give special power, grace and wisdom to the rector for the purpose of glorifying God during this time.

Importantly, apply to this team experience, the same mind you had on your original Tres Dias Weekend. Then, (depending upon where you made your Weekend) your rector asked you to:

• Believe that great things are possible;
• Have a spirit of openness to God and what He is asking of you;
• Have a loving concern for one another and total trust in God;
• Receive things in a Spirit of Idealism;
• Receive things in a Spirit of Cooperation; and,
• Receive things in a Spirit of love. 

Each of you are an important and intricate part of the weekends and carrying out God's plan for each Candidate that attends. Attending all team meetings that are planned is essential to the success of the Weekends.

The Secretariat Meeting Minutes
September 23rd, 2026

Call to Order and Prayer: Meeting called to order 6:46pm. The opening prayer was given by Jimmy Looney.

Members in Attendance: President Angie Meyer, Secretary Jill Thomas, Treasurer Jimmy Looney, 4th Day Sarah Odoms, Women's Leader Valerie Phelps, Men's Leader Brandon Thomas.

Spiritual Directors Message: Not Present

Minutes from August Meeting: A proxy vote was made via text on August 25th, 2026 to read and accept the August Meeting Minutes. Jean made the motion to accept the Minutes, Jimmy 2nd, the motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Jimmy gave both July and August TR, Valerie made a motion to accept both TR as they were read, Jill 2nd, motion passed.

Communication Report: Jean reports that 2 new people have found our community through Facebook. Also she will look into the Sponsorship training link.

Fourth Day Report: The Secuela will be at the Payette Nazarene Church on September 27th. She is not having many people willing to do the 4th day talk at the Secuelas.

Women’s Leader Report: Valerie reports that she has been made aware of some issues over the last Weekend at camp. One was people telling others how to do their jobs, another was the background team not being told of changes in the schedule. These were discussed. 

She also said the Team Applications are hard to read online, which lead to a discussion about where the applications go. Online apps go to Jean. She sends them to the Mens or Womens leader for the Pre-Weekend Committee to vet.
Valerie also spoke of a feeling of resistance from our Community. She would like to see more openness to new ideas and sponsoring. She has shared the Dynamic Talk Team Meeting, Jean would like use this in the Newsletter.

Men’s Leader Report: Brandon and Larry got together, and Larry has the Men's Service list. 

Rectora/Rector: Larry has one confirmed SD, Ron Hershey. He has picked his verse, Matthew 16:26.

Larry presented his idea for the Men's Weekend Crosses. Brandon made a motion to approve the crosses, Valerie 2nd, motion carried.

Maria and Larry have put together the agenda for the Team Meeting.

Maria and Jennnifer are working on the Women's Weekend.

Upcoming Openings on the Secretariat: There is interest in the 4th Day Position. Jill made a motion to be in prayer over it until the October Sec. Meeting and vote to fill the position at the November Sec. Meeting, providing time for training and guidance. Jimmy 2nd, motion carried.

Budget: Angela provided a budget breakdown, Jimmy will fill in the amounts and will be discussed next meeting. It was asked that we be in prayer of where our community should be tithing to. Such as other communities, missions or churches.

Jennnifer put together a Weekend Budget. We are to be in prayer over raising team fees. The current team fees do not cover the cost of the Weekend as well as the rest of the Community Costs.

Other Business: Sarah spoke with Frank Yarbrough. There is an opportunity to sponsor an emerging Community from Utah. We are to be in prayer over this as we seek out what the full duties of sponsorship are.

It was asked of our Rector and Rectora to include 3 men and 3 women from this emerging Community on their Weekend Teams. They both agreed.

Val has asked for time at the next Team Meeting (not the one in October) to go over cloister and the Dynamics.

Prayer and Closing: Brandon closed the meeting in prayer at 8:39pm. The next meeting will be October 13th at 6:30 at Angela and Don's home in Nampa.

Did you know that Treasure Valley Tres Dias operates on By-Laws that were established when our group was formed? These By-Laws were written into existence and approved by Tres Dias International Secretariat. They detail our local structure and how it operates. Over the years they have been amended when needed, but always documented and approved. 

Our newest By-Laws have been edited and approved and are HERE for you to read so that you may understand more of what the Secretariat and our community is about. Take a minute to read when you can.

The Secretariat Meeting Minutes
July 25th, 2026

Call to Order and Prayer: Meeting called to order 12:05pm. The opening prayer was given by Ron Hershey.

Spiritual Directors Message: Mark 8:31-33 Our mind is to be on things of God, not things of men.

Minutes from the June Meeting: A proxy vote was made via text on July 5th, 2026 to read and accept the June Meeting Minutes with the correct time and location of the July Secuela. Valerie made the motion to accept the Minutes, Brandon 2nd, the motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Jim made an amendment to the May TR. There was a $300 donation posted incorrectly. It should have been a $100 donation with $200 going to team fees. Jean motioned to accept the changes to the May TR, Brandon 2nd, motion passed. 

Jim read the June TR, Jill made a motion to accept the June TR as it was read, Jim 2nd, motion passed.

Brandon made a motion that the TR be put out to the Community, Jennifer 2nd, motion passed.

Jill made a motion to refund Sarah TDI fees of $85, Jim 2nd, motion passed.

Communication Report: Jean obtained access to the G-mail, Facebook, and Website. She will put out the updated By Laws to the community.

Fourth Day Report: Not present.

The next Secuela is planned to be at Luby Park in Caldwell. There was discussion about moving Secuelas to Saturdays so people from farther away won't have to miss church. Also discussion about trying to find more central locations for Secuelas.

Women’s Leader Report: not present

Men’s Leader Report: Brandon has been talking with Larry Looney, he plans on helping him look over past service list to help place team mem

Rectora: Team meeting dates have been sent to PUMC. The February team meeting will be in Filer. She has asked Ron Hershey and Donna Batt to be her Spiritual Directors. She also has some of her team heads in place.

Rector: Larry has a Vice Rector, Tom Losser.

Camp 2027: Camp dates are set: Men April 22nd -25th Women April 29th-May 2nd 

Team Meetings: TDI recommends 24 hours of training. We need to be able critique all Rollos, do some Essential training if possible, know your team and duties. It is important to be able to bond as a team. And to learn about each other and Tres Dias. A sign up sheet for team meetings was discussed as well as having the Rector and Rectora talk to team members when they are asked to work for the weekend about the expectation of attending team meetings, if
possible.

Budget: Discussion over the budget was tabled. However Judy Barnes shared how the emerging Portugal community is funding their weekend.

Prayer and Closing: Jill made motion to close the meeting, B 2nd, motion carried. Ron closed the meeting in prayer at 1:10pm.
